For sales leaders and owners with years of pipeline history

Sell CRM data to AI: license how deals were won, not who was in them

A CRM holds two very different things: a contact table that data-protection law guards closely, and years of deal stages, notes and won or lost reasons that AI labs pay for. We read 22 CRM vendor documents across 20 vendors, up to 2026-10-28, to see what each one's terms leave you.

Three steps

You tell us which CRM holds the deals, how many years, and where the company stands.

We check that against the vendor terms, the contact-data law and the buyers on this site.

We reply with what looks licensable, what must be stripped, and whether we would take it to buyers.

Fees are paid by the company licensing its sales records and only after a deal is signed: 12.5% of the deal, with a minimum, where we act as exclusive agent for the whole company or one record type, and 10%, with a minimum, where the records go into a bundle or pooled sale; whatever a buyer pays us is taken off that. CRM vendors and buyers on this site pay nothing to be shown, and none of our links earn commission.

One row per CRM vendor, read from its own terms of service or services agreement; a not stated cell means no document we read for that vendor answers the question. Our newest read of a CRM document is dated 2026-10-28.Updated

Each vendor's own published terms were read through estate-fetch and stored whole (sha256 on every row). For every document, four questions were answered from the vendor's own words: who owns the business's data, vendor keeps aggregated or anonymised use, training AI on the business's data, export at exit. Every stated answer carries the sentence it rests on, checked against the stored text; 'not stated' means the document read does not address the question. A vendor with several documents reads 'varies' where they disagree. 20 vendors, 22 documents.

Frequently asked

Can I sell CRM data to AI, or only the deal history?
The deal history is the part AI buyers ask for: Maryah describes the record it wants as how a sale happened, the follow-ups and why the customer bought, and says it wants sales histories, not a contact list. The contact table is personal data, and selling it is a data-protection and marketing-law question before it is a licensing one.(Crm software data terms: every row, with its source)
Who owns the data in Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive?
The company, on the terms we read. HubSpot's customer terms say you own and retain all rights to your Customer Data, and Pipedrive's that the client retains all rights, title and interest in it. Salesforce's main services agreement is closed to automated reading, so its row rests on its privacy statement, which keeps an aggregated use of usage data.(Crm software data terms: every row, with its source)
Do CRM vendors train AI on our pipeline?
A few say so. HubSpot may use Customer Data to train its AI models and offers an opt-out in the account settings, Apollo takes a licence to analyse Customer Data with artificial intelligence to improve its platform, and Twenty says it does not train AI models on your data. 16 of the 20 vendors say nothing on it.(Crm software data terms: every row, with its source)
How long do we have to get our CRM data out after cancelling?
Often a month or less. HubSpot provides copies or temporary access on a written request within 30 days, Copper and Close allow 30 days, Twenty keeps the data for at least 14 days, and HighLevel 90. Streak's terms say termination means forfeiting all content in the account.(Crm software data terms: every row, with its source)
Is it legal to sell a customer list from our CRM?
Rarely as it stands. In the UK, section 170 of the Data Protection Act 2018 makes it an offence to sell personal data that someone obtained, knowingly or recklessly, without the controller's consent, and PECR regulation 22 stops a buyer emailing individuals who have not consented. In the US, CAN-SPAM forbids transferring the address of anyone who has opted out. That is why a licence to an AI buyer is built on de-identified deal records.(Crm software data terms: every row, with its source)
What happens to the CRM when the whole company is sold or closes?
California's privacy law treats personal information passed on as an asset in a merger, acquisition or bankruptcy differently from a sale, provided it is used consistently with the promises made when it was collected; and in a US bankruptcy a trustee needs a consumer privacy ombudsman and court approval to sell personal information against the company's own privacy policy.(Crm software data terms: every row, with its source)

The question this page is here to answer

Which organisations' own pages say they take a company's sales and CRM records, and what do they say about the records, the price and a company that stopped trading?

Which CRM, how many years of deals and activity, and whether the company is trading, closing or being sold. We read it against the vendor terms and contact-data law here and reply in writing.
